A view. A probability.

Make the question precise, understand how it resolves and keep the evidence behind your view in focus. A starting point for prediction-market research.

01

Define the event precisely.

Read the exact question, its closing time and every condition that affects the answer. Similar headlines can describe events with very different resolution rules.

Write down what would count as each outcome. If the wording leaves an important detail unclear, keep that uncertainty visible in your notes.

02

Separate a price from a promise.

Probability expresses a degree of uncertainty. A market price may reflect a market-implied view, but interpreting it requires the market’s contract terms, fees and trading context.

This page does not display live odds or calculate a model forecast. Keep any personal estimate labeled with its assumptions and the time you made it.

03

Track what could change your mind.

List the evidence supporting your view and the evidence that would weaken it. Distinguish primary sources, reported facts and commentary.

Financial news can help you find the next question. Follow the original article and check its publication date before treating a headline as new information.

04

Know how the question ends.

Record the designated resolution source, deadline and any exceptional-outcome rules. Trading availability and event resolution can happen at different times.

05

Keep your reasoning reviewable.

A useful research entry has a question, a dated estimate, sources, assumptions and a short explanation of what changed. Review the reasoning alongside the eventual outcome.
